RAYMARINE AIS 500

The Raymarine AIS500 is a Class B AIS transceiver designed for recreational vessels, allowing users to both transmit and receive AIS data. It operates in the VHF maritime band, broadcasting vessel information such as name, course, speed, and navigation status to other AIS-equipped vessels and shore-side stations, while also receiving similar data from nearby vessels. The AIS500 integrates seamlessly with Raymarine multifunction displays (e.g., A-Series, C-Series, E-Series, and G-Series), enabling graphical overlay of AIS targets on chartplotter and radar screens. It includes a built-in VHF splitter, eliminating the need for a separate VHF antenna, and a multiplexer to handle AIS and NMEA data at various baud rates.
